Cerreto Laghi - is the major ski resort of the region with 28 km of challenging slopes, a snow park, ski school with travelator and snow making facilities. Piste 2 has FIS approval and hosts slalom races during the season. The instructors say that if you can ski Monte Nuda you are then able to ski anywhere in the Alps.... There is also a cross-country course and an olympic size ice rink. Around the lake are great value hotels and restaurants, ski hire shops and delicatessens selling local and regional produce and there are some exclusive ski wear and clothes shops specializing in Moncler, Timberland and Geox. There are rarely long queues for the modern lift system, every one is very friendly and the instructors at the ski school are superb and really great value. (28 euro for private 1 on 1 lesson). Here there is just a hotel, restaurant and ski hire shop with around 12km of slightly easier piste with some off-piste opportunities near the top of the mountain.Iphone - check out ineveitalia.
