Agritourismo Montagna Verde - an old monastery high in the mountains (2000 ft) 15 mins drive. Superb food. Dinner inc water and wine around 20 euro.
Ristorante Galletti - our local just at the bottom of the hill in Crespiano. Gerat value again , family run with very friendly staff and really busy at lunchtime. They also sell local red wine at around 5 euro per 1.5 litre. Also has a small shop attached for provisions.
Ristorante Pizzeria Beatrice - must book for this. 10 mins away in Monti. Pizza and meat cooked in wood fired oven. 2.50 euro for 1/2 litre of house wine. Good seafood too.
Ristorante Capannina Ciccio - at Bocco di Magra. Expensive but worth it. Stunning location by the marina. Perfect seafood. Was opened in 1951 and still owned by the same family.
Parco 100 Avventura - around 40 minutes drive over the spectacular Passo di Lagostrello into Emilia Romana. The park caters for all ages of thrill seekers with challenges set high in the trees.

Pratospilla - closest ski slope to casa d'alloro. cheap, friendly and never too busy. Great for 1st timers and intermediates and some off piste available.
Castel del Piano - beautiful restored castle that serves superb food in great surroundings. You can guy their own wine, olive oil and honey and see how its produced. Ask for Andrea or Sabine and say where you are staying.
